An EU/EASA register run by AESA, with a distinctive dual-registry system; suited to owners with EEA nexus or Spanish residence or establishment.
Key facts
An EU/EASA register run by AESA, with a distinctive dual-registry system: the Aircraft Registry (RMAC), which grants nationality and marks, and the Movable Property Registry (RBM), which qualifies legal title, records security and is the access point to the Cape Town International Registry. EEA nationals can register (as owners or lessees), as can non-EEA persons with habitual residence or a permanent establishment in Spain who use the aircraft privately. The typical SPV is a Spanish or other EEA company; the framework is Royal Decree 1029/2025.
EU/SEPA banking with standard KYC; substance helps. No local account is required to register.
As an EU/EASA register, an EASA Part-FCL licence is required; an FAA pilot must convert or validate it.
When nexus or genuine substance in Spain matters. Note the dual registry and a possible registration tax (IEDMT) on first registration, with exemptions for commercial use and certain leasing — to be confirmed with a tax advisor; the process is more bureaucratic than the specialist registers.
Flyxchain designs and implements the ownership and operating structure end to end — holding and SPV setup, jurisdiction and registry selection, financing, and the continuing-airworthiness chain (CAMO and maintenance) — independently and always on the buyer's side.
